Kuala Lumpur is a large city located in the center of Selangor, west-central Peninsular Malaysia. It is the capital of Malaysia, as well as the most crowded city in the country. It is a principal center of the country's cultural, commercial, financial, and social life. The city is considered to be the second most advanced and successful economic zones in the Far East after Singapore. Kuala Lumpur is home to the Parliament of Malaysia, the University of Malaya (UM), Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR), UCSI University (UCSI), and many educational institutions. The city also hosts The Future Music Festival Asia since 2012. Kuala Lumpur International Airport is one of the biggest airports in the world and located about 45 kilometers south of the city center.
