Just like any capital city of a country, Ankara is the place where the country's Parliament and all central government bodies are located. The central part of Ankara is located in the south eastern part of the city and is named Kızılay meaning 'Red Crescent'. Other central regions of the city are named Ulus, Sıhhıye, Çankaya, Altındağ, Maltepe, Tandoğan, and others. The largest neighborhoods of the city include the towns of Pursaklar, Gölbaşı, Etimesgut, Batıkent, Eryaman, Sincan, Yenimahalle, and many others. Ankara is known as a key center of education, with a large number of universities like Middle East Technical University, Hacettepe University, Ankara University, Bilkent University, Gazi University, Başkent University, Çankaya University, and many others located in the capital city.
